Wedding Photography Packages and Price in Varanasi (2026-27)

Wedding photography packages at The WeddingShoot in Varanasi start at ₹39,999 for one side of a one-day wedding and ₹64,999 when both the bride's and groom's sides book us together. Engagement and reception packages start at ₹19,999. Below are all nine packages, what each one includes and how to choose.

Drone coverage is not part of any package. It can be added for an extra charge.

A one side cover means we photograph and film one family, either the bride's side or the groom's side. We follow that family through the day: their rituals, the entry, the stage and the people who matter to them. All three packages include traditional and candid photography. What changes as you go up is the style of the video and the album.

When the bride's family and the groom's family book one team together, the price drops a lot. Two separate Package A1 bookings would cost ₹79,998. Package FA1 covers both sides for ₹64,999, a saving of ₹14,999. The saving grows with the bigger packages: ₹19,999 on Package FA2 and ₹24,999 on Package FA3. Each side also gets its own album, so both families take home their own copy of the day.

The money saved is only one part of it. At most weddings in Varanasi, the bride's side and the groom's side each hire their own photographer. Each team usually has four to six people, so the stage ends up with eight to twelve camera people. Here is what changes when one team covers both families:

• No crowding on the stage. Photographers from two teams keep walking into each other's frames. With one team, everyone knows where the others are standing.
• The couple does each pose only once. With two teams, the couple poses for one team and then repeats the same pose for the other. After the jaimala and pheras, that gets tiring fast.
• More time for creative photos. The time saved goes into couple portraits and candid moments, so you get better photos and more of them.
• One look across both albums. The same editing style and the same video style for both families, and the cost of a second team is saved and can be shared.

The engagement and the reception use the same three packages. These are half day packages, with up to 6 hours of coverage, which is enough for a ring ceremony or a reception evening from the entry to the last family photos on stage. Our wedding day coverage runs from 10:30 AM to 7:00 AM the next morning. If the haldi or any other function happens on the wedding day itself, it is covered in the same one-day package, along with the baraat, jaimala, pheras and vidaai. For any one function other than the wedding, such as an engagement, reception, mehndi or sangeet on a separate day, you get a half day of 4 to 6 hours between 10:30 AM and 12:00 midnight. If you book two or more such functions on the same day, it becomes a full day of 10 to 12 hours in the same time window. These hours are also written in our terms and conditions. Traditional photography is the posed part of the wedding: people looking at the camera, group photos, stage photos and family pictures, so that every relative is in the album. Candid photography is the unposed part. It catches reactions, the bride laughing with her cousins, the groom with his friends and couple portraits in good light. Every wedding package includes both, because families need the group photos and couples usually remember the candid ones. That is also why all nine are wedding photography and videography packages, never photos alone.

For video there are three levels. A traditional videographer records the full event in a simple style, so every ritual is clearly there in a long video. Semi-cinematic mixes the two: the cinematographer shoots on a gimbal, so the video is smoother, and some creative candid shots are added. Cinematic is a film-style video with creative lighting and shots from several angles, both wide and close, that is edited like a short movie. Most of the wedding photography cost comes down to two choices, the number of sides and the video style. Start with the question of sides. If both families are happy to share one team, a both side package is almost always the better deal, because you save ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 and the couple does not have to pose twice. Then decide how you want to watch the wedding later. If a full record of every ritual is enough, the traditional video in Package A1 or Package FA1 does the job. If you want something you will actually share with friends, a teaser and a reel come with Packages A2 and FA2. If the video matters as much as the photos, go for the cinematic Packages A3 and FA3. For a grand reception at a hotel such as Taj Ganges or a resort like The Village Lake Resort, the cinematic packages make the most of the lighting and the stage. At a lawn like The Banaras Lawn & Banquet, the semi-cinematic packages work very well too.

The packages above are for one wedding day or one half day function. Many families in Varanasi have the tilak, mehndi, sangeet or reception on separate days. For extra days, contact us with your dates and we will add them to your booking. We also make custom packages based on what each family needs, for example one side on the haldi day and both sides on the wedding day, a bigger album, or a cinematic film only for the reception. • Advance: 25% of the package amount books your date. The remaining payment is due within 2 days after the shoot. The advance is not refundable if the event is cancelled.
• Raw data: all raw photos and videos are handed over after the final payment, on your hard drive or pen drive, or through OneDrive. Please keep a backup, because we store the data for 28 days only.
• Album and edited videos: delivered within 6 to 8 weeks after you finish selecting the photos for the album. Videos are in full HD (1080p).
• Changes: one round of changes on the album design and edited videos is free. Further rounds are charged.
• Drone: drone shots are charged separately. Some venues and areas need police or venue permission to fly a drone, and the family has to arrange it at least 15 days before the shoot. Contact us for the drone charge for your venue.
